Teen / Youth
Our desire to grow as Christians shows up in three main areas: growth as individuals, growth as a church body, and growth in the community through outreach. We plan time for Sunday morning Bible studies, Wednesday evening prayer time, Sunday evening devotionals, and various other activities. As Christ teaches us to be more like him, we will seek opportunities to be more like him through study, service, and fellowship.

Although it is the desire and goal of this Youth Ministry to create an environment for students to love and be loved, encourage and be encouraged, accept and be accepted, and above all praise God, it is not our desire to compete with family or school for time. Instead, we hope to help those involved in our ministry to be better Christians within their family and school environments. The bulk of the Youth Ministry time commitments occur during the summer when there are generally fewer activities involving the students. In an effort to encourage the students to excel in their education and extracurricular activities, the Youth Ministry will not compete with school for the student’s time. We hope to attend each other’s activities and use the time as a way to support one another and draw closer together as a group. Our Youth Ministry hopes to teach kids to love God and people. Therefore, we cannot expect our children to grow in their understanding and practice of these ideals if we pull them out of every environment that gives them an opportunity to do so.

We hope that they will learn to make God first in their lives, over school and even family, by incorporating God into every aspect of their lives. The youth group meets consistently for Sunday Bible study at 9:30 a.m. as well as Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

We are thankful that you came our way and hope that we can share our faith journey together.

Education: Middle and High School
Classes are available Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. Along with nurture and Bible study, there is fellowship, sharing, and practical application of lessons learned. It is an equipping ministry, helping our young people to know God better, each other better, and to grow into the likeness of Christ. A new program - Leadership Training for Christ - was begun this year as a means to prepare our youth for ministry.
